Michael LaPointe (b. 1987) is a writer living in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has served as Books Editor of The Tyee, as well as Reviews Editor of Discorder and News Editor of Tooth & Dagger. In 2009 he received his BA in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, where he directed a seminar on Shakespeare and Star Trek: The Next Generation. In 2011, he served as Associate Editor for a book of essays and criticism in collaboration with The Cheaper Show.

His journalism and criticism have appeared in The Globe & Mail, The Tyee, and Color. His short fiction has appeared in Weekday and Joyland. He plays music in Juice. He can be reached by email.
